Jane Boyd, BC Entrepreneur
I have owned my own consulting business since 1994. I have also been involved in additional business collaborations and partnerships related to my areas of focus – kids and families. Some of these ventures have been rather successful and others have been true failures. Over the years, I have learned a lot and strongly feel that all of the experiences I have collected add to my entrepreneurial toolkit and overall expertise as a small business owner.
Currently I am going through a process to shift the focus of my consulting company; so that I can do much more to incorporate my work related to children and families with my love of the online world and social media.
This is my new, overall business goal: To live, laugh and earn by building connections, facilitating conversations and leading change to make the world a much better place for kids and families.
Here is a bit more about me and the work I do:
- I work with companies to build great workplace culture.
- I am an educator; specializing in the early years and Montessori education. (Licensed ECE in 4 Canadian Provinces)
- I lead a lot of different, cool projects.
- I create opportunities for online connection, conversation and collaboration.
- I advocate for community, kids and families – every time.
- I believe in the power of collaboration and community.
- I love to colour outside the lines for all the right reasons.
- I have an immense passion for social media; I truly live, work and play through it.
- I’m from Vancouver, BC but my heart is forever in Canada’s smallest Province – PEI.
- I have three kids, two step kids, 2 cats and am married to @bobhcc

I do a lot of things to support community efforts by serving on multiple non profit boards (BC and PEI), community based committees and participating in other interesting initiatives that I think make a difference in the lives of kids and families.
